IPTI and SergipeTec (also representing the State Secretary for Development, Science and Technology) had a meeting with the secretary for social inclusion of the Brazilian Ministry of S&T. The aim of this meeting was to create a CVT (Centro Vocacional Tecnológico) in Santa Luzia focused on Art, Science and Technology. CVT is a national program to foster local development by creating infrastructure for science and technology. In the case of THP this infrastructure will be shortly necessary when we consider that the city has no space available to host the activities we are planning. So, we will need to build an auditorium, science center, etc, and the CVT is a perfect program for that. The secretary offered us full support and we are now starting to prepare a short proposal. If we are successful we believe we can build our CVT in 2009.
