Visit of Beau Lotto

During the period of November 17^th to 23^th Beau Lotto has visited Sergipe. His visit was possible due the support from the State Bank of Sergipe (BANESE) who invited Mr Beau Lotto for giving a conference on "Perception” and we used the opportunity to discuss about possible cooperation between IPTI and Lotto Lab (www.lottolab.org), which is a very creative research centre. As one of the possibilities, we discussed with Mr Lotto the idea of creating an experience linking art, science and ecology, maybe using the "bioluminescence” that we find in the mangroves as an indicator of environment health. This idea was first discussed with Roger Malina and Bronac Ferran and the visit of Beau Lotto was a chance to exploit the idea in more practical details. We decided to build a proposal in the next weeks.
